Bhadrachalam Pushkaralu 2027 — Sri Rama Ghat & Temple Guide

Bhadrachalam in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana is the most important location for Godavari Pushkaralu 2027 outside Andhra Pradesh. The town is sacred for its association with Lord Rama and the famous Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam, and the holy dip in the Godavari at Bhadrachalam during Pushkaralu carries the merit of a Kashi pilgrimage according to the Skanda Purana.

Bhadrachalam Pushkar Ghats

  • Sri Rama Ghat — Main bathing ghat with handrails and lighting
  • Janasthan Ghat — Ghat associated with the exile period from the Ramayana
  • Sita Pushkar Ghat — Dedicated to Goddess Sita; popular for women pilgrims
  • Parnasala Ghat — 35 km upstream; associated with Rama, Sita, Lakshmana hermitage

How to Reach Bhadrachalam

Nearest airport is Vijayawada (200 km) or Hyderabad (320 km). Rail to Bhadrachalam Road station at Kothagudem (40 km from temple), with connections from Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. TGSRTC special Pushkar buses ply from Hyderabad, Warangal, Khammam and Karimnagar throughout the festival window.

Combined Pilgrimage

Most pilgrims combine the Pushkaralu snanam with darshan at the Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple, visit to Parnasala (35 km upstream by road or boat), and a stop at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Bhadrachalam. The complete pilgrim circuit takes 2 days minimum.
