Kaleshwaram Pushkaralu 2027 — Triveni Sangam Snanam Guide

Kaleshwaram in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district of Telangana is one of the rare locations in India where three rivers meet — the Triveni Sangam of Godavari, Pranahita and a mythical underground river. Performing snanam at Kaleshwaram during Godavari Pushkaralu 2027 is considered to grant doubled merit, as both the Godavari and Pranahita rivers carry pushkar tirtham during the festival window.

Sri Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy Temple

Adjacent to the Triveni Sangam stands the unique Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy Temple with two Shiva lingams on a single pedestal — Lord Kaleshwara (Yama) and Lord Mukteshwara (Shiva). This is one of the few temples worldwide where Lord Yama is worshipped alongside Lord Shiva. Pilgrims who perform abhishekam here followed by snanam at the sangam earn liberation from death’s anxiety.

Best Days for Snanam at Kaleshwaram

The first day (23 July 2027) and last day (3 August 2027) are most auspicious. The full moon and new moon days during the festival window also carry special merit. The recently constructed Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project has improved water flow, ensuring sufficient depth for safe pilgrim bathing throughout the year.
