Pattiseema Pushkaralu 2027 — Veerabhadra Temple & Boat Tours

Pattiseema on the Godavari river in West Godavari district is famous for two reasons during Pushkaralu 2027: (1) the ancient Sri Veerabhadra Swamy Temple on Pattiseema island, and (2) its position as the launch point for Papikondalu boat tours. The Andhra Pradesh government has dedicated a major bathing ghat at Pattiseema specifically for Pushkaralu 2027 pilgrims who wish to combine spiritual activity with sightseeing.

Sri Veerabhadra Swamy Temple

The temple, situated on a small island in the middle of the Godavari, dates back over 800 years and is dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra (a form of Shiva). Pilgrims reach the temple by ferry from Pattiseema village. During Pushkaralu, the temple operates extended darshan hours from 4:30 AM to 9:30 PM daily.

Papikondalu Boat Tours

Pattiseema is the primary launch point for Papikondalu boat tours — a scenic cruise along the Godavari through the Eastern Ghats hills. APTDC operates dedicated Pushkar Yatra boats during the festival, combining pilgrim transport with sightseeing. See our Papikondalu Tourism Guide.

How to Reach Pattiseema

From Rajahmundry: 35 km west via Polavaram road. Free APSRTC shuttle service operates between Rajahmundry and Pattiseema during Pushkaralu. Boat services from Rajahmundry depart 09:00 AM and 02:00 PM daily.
